Royal Azalea (Rhododendron schlippenbachii) offers brilliant, multi-dimensional fall colors. Royal Azaleas are a deciduous shrub that like part shade to part sun, moist, well-drained soil, and a 5-6 soil pH. They grow 3-6 feet high and spread out about 3-5 feet. Hummingbirds love their pale pink April/May flowers that typically appear just before the green foliage starts to emerge. Grows in zones 4-8.
