Tree peonies are an excellent addition to any garden. They have some of the most outrageous spring blooms you will ever see. Tree peonies are often at home in a perennial bed but are considered deciduous shrubs given their woody stems. They grow 3-4 feet high and wide in the right conditions. As long as you have enough sun (part sun to full sun is ideal), moist, well-drained soil, and live in zones 4-8. You will be amazed.
