Selection: Putting It All Together

In this chapter we gave a very basic overview of plant types, plant names, and how to choose healthy plants at the nursery.

Your goal should be to:

• Choose appropriate plants for your site and style. The more you know about plants the more creative you can be, so learn as much as you can about plants.
• Be sure the plants you select are healthy with few (if any) visible signs of damage or stress. The healthier your new plants are, the fewer problems you will have when starting your garden.
